What is a  NAPPI Code?

A NAPPI code (National Pharmaceutical Product Index) is a unique identifier used for medicines, medical products, and certain procedures in South Africa.

Why it matters

This code allows you to submit a claim to your medical aid for a possible refund on eligible products.

  • Refunds depend on your medical aid provider and plan

How do you claim?

  1. Purchase USN products online, pharmacy or retail outlet.
  2. Keep the receipt. Write the NAPPI code on the receipt.
  3. Submit your receipt to your medical aid within 3 months of purchase.
  4. Submit your receipt to your medical aid within 3 months of purchase.
  5. Submit your receipt to your medical aid within 3 months of purchase.
