HYdrotech Whey

Hydrotech Whey

Part 3 - Written by Shani Cohen - Registered Dietitian

Hydrotech Whey is a high-protein supplement designed to support muscle recovery while helping individuals meet their daily protein requirements. Unlike traditional whey protein supplements that rely solely on dairy-based proteins, Hydrotech Whey combines whey and wheat proteins to provide both rapidly and more gradually digested protein sources.

Each serving provides 20 g of protein from a blend of whey protein isolate, whey protein hydrolysate, whey protein concentrate, hydrolysed wheat protein and wheat protein. It also delivers approximately 4.8 g of naturally occurring branched-chain amino acids (BCAAs) and 8.8 g of essential amino acids (EAAs). The product contains no added soy protein, is suitable for lacto-vegetarian diets and includes DigeZyme, a proprietary multi-enzyme complex designed to support protein digestion.

How does it work?

Hydrotech Whey combines different protein sources that are digested at slightly different rates, providing a combination of rapidly and more gradually available amino acids. The whey proteins are rapidly digested, providing a quick supply of amino acids that makes them particularly well suited to supporting muscle recovery after exercise. The wheat proteins are digested more gradually, helping to extend the availability of amino acids over time. Together, this combination provides protein support beyond the immediate post-workout period, making Hydrotech Whey a versatile option throughout the day.

Who is it best suited for?

Hydrotech Whey may be a good choice for:

  • Active individuals looking to support muscle recovery and lean muscle development.
  • People who prefer a combination of fast- and slower-digesting protein sources.
  • Individuals looking for a versatile protein supplement that can be used throughout the day.
  • Those wanting to increase their daily protein intake through a convenient, high-protein option.
  • Individuals looking for an alternative to a whey-only protein supplement.
  • People following a lacto-vegetarian eating pattern who are looking for a convenient way to meet their protein requirements.

When would I choose Hydrotech Whey?

Hydrotech Whey is well suited to situations where you are looking to increase your protein intake across the day rather than focusing solely on the post-workout period. Practical ways to include it include:

  • Between meals to help increase daily protein intake.
  • After exercise to support muscle recovery.
  • As a convenient breakfast on busy mornings.
  • Blended into a smoothie or oats as a satisfying snack or meal.
  • On busy workdays when preparing a protein-rich snack is not practical.
